Why might the Intel Arria 10 10GBase-KR IP core not achieve 10G mode?

    Description

    The Intel® Arria® 10 10GBase-KR IP core has interopability issues with certain switches. The Auto Negotiation / Link Training sequences are repeated and 10G mode might not be achieved.

    Resolution

    This problem has been fixed starting in Intel® Quartus® Prime v17.1.
