HSSI power pin placement error for Arria 10 devices

Environment

  • Quartus® II Subscription Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT

    Critical Issue

    Description

Different Arria 10 devices do not have the same high-speed serial interface (HSSI) power pin assignments. The 10AX115/090 device has right-side HSSI pins, but but the 10AX066/057 device does not. During compilation, the Quartus II Fitter should power down (GND) the unused HSSI power pins, but the pins are not powered down. When you migrate from a 10AX066/057 device to a 10AX115/090 device, the resulting merged project erroneously has right-side HSSI power pins (VCCR_GXBR, RREF and VCCH_GXBR).

    Resolution

This issue is fixed in the Quartus II software version 15.0. There is no workaround for previous software releases.
