General guidelines
- The serial number and the SA number (sub-assembly) are required for a warranty request. Without a serial number and a SA#, the warranty could be denied.
- Back up your personal data from the Intel NUC Laptop Kit to another storage media. Intel uses a software-based data shredder to erase all data from the storage device of returned Intel NUC Laptop Kits. Documents and files stored on the returned device will be lost.
- Refer to your email confirmation for instructions on which parts and accessories you should keep with you. Intel doesn’t retain any parts and accessories and can’t return them to you.
- Write your RMA case number on the outside of the box and enclose a copy of your email confirmation.
Shipping Lithium Batteries
- Do not ship a Lithium battery you suspect is damaged; whether inside the Intel NUC Laptop Kit or by itself. Signs of battery damage include bulging, leaking electrolyte, signs of smoke residue, charring of battery materials, etc.
- Contact Intel Customer Support for help if you can’t ship an Intel Intel NUC Laptop Kit in this instance.
- See Information about Shipping Intel NUC Laptop Kit Batteries for complete details.

- You can procure an outer box of adequate size from your local shipping location or post office, at your own cost.
