Summary

Diagnosis as to why the VMs lose connectivity

Description

Users are randomly disconnected from their Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions.

NoteThere are no error messages; the VMs are getting disconnected from time to time.
Resolution

Since our main focus is on the actual hardware, the physical NIC, just to be 100% sure, due to the particular system set-up, contact Support with the Intel® System Support Utility report and pictures of the NIC (from both sides of the card).  Thus, we can identify the card and from there on, proceed accordingly.
