Cannot Set IGD Minimum Memory to 1024MB or 2048MB on Intel® NUC Kit
What are you seeing?
The Intel® NUC Kit NUC6i7KYK doesn't allow you to select 1024MB or 2048MB as the IGD Minimum Memory if you enable the Thunderbolt™ Controller in BIOS Setup.
Why are you seeing it?
Because the Thunderbolt Controller uses up to 2048MB IGD Minimum Memory from PCIE resources.
How to fix it
Disable the Thunderbolt Controller:
- Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
- Disable (uncheck) Thunderbolt™ Controller.
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.

| Note | The 2048MB option for the IGD Minimum Memory setting in BIOS was added with BIOS version 0045. |
