Patch created on January 25 2011 Patch SPR#: 365059 SPRs fixed: 361898 //**************************************************************** Problem: There is a bug in physical synthesis that causes functional errors in some rare cases where a design has constant cells. The bug can only happen when physical synthesis is on and the family used is Stratix III, Stratix IV, Arria II GX, HardCopy III or HardCopy IV. Solution: This patch solves the problem. The patch also provides an INI controlled flow to to identify whether this bug appeared in a compile without the patch. To use this flow, set "fsyn_identify_node_collapse_bug=on" in the quartus.ini file and run Analysis & Synthesis. The compile will fail if an instance of the bug is detected. Make sure the compile is done with the exact same version of Quartus on the same platform, and with the exact same design settings. Caution - You must either have previously installed the Quartus II 10.0 SP1 software or must install the Quartus II 10.0 SP1 software before installing this patch. Otherwise, the patch will not be installed correctly and the Quartus II software will not run properly.
